В данной статье на основе материалов, собранных в ходе этнографической экспедиции 1973 г. в Устьянский район Архангельской области, рассматривается северорусская традиционная свадьба как драматургический обряд «перехода». Внимание автора сконцентрировано главным образом на фигуре невесты, т.к. ее социальный статус после свадьбы меняется кардинальным образом, в отличие от социального статуса жениха. Также посредством замужества девушка совершает переход в горизонтальном и в вертикальном направлениях. Автор подробно описывает все этапы подготовки и проведения свадебного обряда. Анализ данного неотъемлемого элемента жизни любой социальной общности показывает, что для Русского Севера была характерна свадьба-драма, рассматривавшаяся как переход от счастливой жизни к неизвестному и пугающему будущему. In this article on the basis of materials collected during ethnographic expedition 1973 in Ustyansky district Arkhangelsk region the Russian North traditional wedding is considered as a dramatic ritual of "transition". The author's attention is concentrated mainly on the figure of the bride since her social status after marriage changes radically in contrast to the social status of the groom. By her marriage she makes this transition in horizontal and in vertical directions. The author describes in detail all the stages of preparation and holding of the wedding ceremony. The analysis of this essential element of the life of any social community shows that for the Russian North the wedding-drama was typical and it was considered as a transition from a happy life to an unknown and frightening future. Key words: bride ceremony, Russian North, Ustiany, rites of passage, Russian peasants Статья выполнена на основе полевого материала, полученного автором в ходе этнографической экспедиции в Устьянский район (деревни Синики, Капустино, Б. Пенье, село Строевское) 1 Ведерникова Тамара Ивановна- кандидат исторических наук, доцент кафедры теории и истории культуры Самарского государственного института культуры Архангельской области. Экспедиция была организована в летний сезон 1973 г. кафедрой этнографии исторического факультета МГУ, под руководством доцента Геннадия Герасимовича Громова и его помощника - тогда студента 3 курса Алексея Никишенкова. В состав группы входили Тамара Ведерникова, Лена Габец, Лера Гуличева. С теплом и ностальгией вспоминаются отдельные эпизоды этой экспедиции. Один из них связан с клюквой, протертой с сахаром. Когда мы в Москве сели в поезд и достали нашу «провизию», я выставила банку клюквы. Г. Г. Громов недовольно произнес: «13 -й год еду на Север, 13-й раз какая-нибудь коза приносит клюкву, протертую с сахаром; 12 раз с ней что-нибудь случалось...». Несмотря на его возражения, мы открыли банку и съели только половину клюквы; при выходе из поезда сложили остатки продуктов в сетку-редушку.
